Dark Light

Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to Nintendo Switch with some exclusive new features.

Oddworld: Soulstorm was first released for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC last year and is the follow-up to the beloved Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty. In his latest adventure, Abe must embark on a mission to free more than 1,000 Mudokons from the evil Glukkons.

Oddworld: Soulstorm mixes action platforming with light role-playing, crafting, and stealth elements. According to most reviews, the end result is a mixed bag, but it’s not without ambition. It should certainly hit the spot for fans of the franchise.

The Switch version will be optimised to take advantage of the console’s unique features, although publisher Microids hasn’t confirmed what those features will be. Knowing how the PR cycle for these things usually works, we’ll find out soon enough.

A special collectors edition will also be released that includes an art book, stickers, and a figurine, among other goodies.
