Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey headlines this week’s lineup of new PlayStation 4 video game releases.
It’s fair to say that Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey fell through the gaps somewhat when it came to PC in August. Speaking at Reboot Develop Red, creative lead Patrice Désilets took issue with the critical response the game received but also outlined several improvements for this week’s PS4 and Xbox One release, namely some welcome tutorial messages. Désilets is probably correct to suggest that Ancestors will feel more at home on a console, so it will be interesting to see how the game performs.
An HD remaster of the very first Star Ocean game also comes to PlayStation 4 on Thursday. Star Ocean First Departure R includes new Japanese and English voice acting, new character art, a 2x speed mode and tweaked battle mechanics.
Other new PS4 releases include Blair Witch, SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions and Hatsune Miku VR. Here’s the full lineup.
