Capcom announce Resident Evil 0 Remaster for PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil 0 was originally released as a GameCube exclusive back in 2002. It subsequently arrived on Wii in 2008 and this will be the first time the game is available on non-Nintendo platforms.

The game serves as a prequel to the original Resident Evil game and is notable for introducing the partner zapping system which allows players to swap between protagonists Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen.

The announcement follows news that the remaster of the original Resident Evil on PS3, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One has sold over 1 million copies.

Members of the original Resident Evil 0 development team, including the game’s director Koji Oda, are returning to work on the remaster. You can find out more in the charming video above.

Resident Evil 0 is set for release sometime in 2016.
