To celebrate the launch of Sea of Thieves on March 20th, Rare is holding a “digital treasure hunt,” giving players the chance to win an £80,000 bunch of golden bananas.
The bananas, four of them in total, have been crafted by Smith & Harris, esteemed goldsmiths in London, and the same pair responsible for the Kate Moss Siren.
Take a look at the reveal video below:
It’s accompanied by a delightful little poem:
Many have fallen when greed takes hold
For a bountiful booty of beautiful gold
Head to the crows-nest, for a sight quite absurd
Come weigh your anchor on nineteenth of the third
A sharp savvy crew should be what you seek,
For the legendary treasure, that here you can peek…
In order to take part in the treasure hunt, players will need to answer fifteen cryptic clues, which will be revealed on the official website. The first will be revealed at 8am GMT on Monday, March 19th; the next will be released every few hours over the following three days.
