Excited about RDR2? You’re not the only one.
Rockstar Games has uploaded a new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer to YouTube today, and it’s already been viewed half a million times at the time of writing.
You can add your views to the pile now, if you’ve not seen it:
There’s still no gameplay on display just yet, but we have met the game’s protagonist, and it’s not John Marston. Red Dead Redemption 2‘s ‘hero’ is an outlaw called Arthur Morgan, of the Van der Linde gang, who steals lots of things. He is an outlaw, after all.
We’d wager it won’t be as simple as that, however. Rockstar’s real strength lies not just in world-building – though they are pretty stellar in that regard – but in presenting interesting and flawed protagonists, that you can (mostly) root for, even if they are massive bastards.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently slated to launch in spring 2018. We’ll keep you posted as more information comes to light.

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. But it's difficult to make ends meet in online publishing at the moment, so if you'd like to help us continue our work, you could always buy the team a cup of coffee.
