Blue Isle Studios have announced that survival horror game Slender: The Arrival is coming to Wii U on October 22.

The game has been developed in collaboration with Eric “Victor Surge” Knudson, creator of the paranormal  Slender Man phenomenon, and is written by the creative team behind the Marble Hornets series, Slender: The Arrival.

In what seems like a endearingly retro move the game forgoes any Wii U GamePad gimmicks and instead uses the trusty old Wii Remote as the in-game flashlight.

Blue Isle Studios said “Slender: The Arrival brings brand new story elements and extended levels to the world of Slender Man that continue to unfold the terrifying mythos. Players are enveloped in a world of sensory deprivation filled with haunting visions and audio cues that create a healthy dose of tension and paranoia.”

The game will be available via the North America Nintendo eShop priced $9.99 on October 22. You can pick it up on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC right now.
