Rebellion has announced that Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will hit digital and retail stores in May.

The remaster of the popular 2012 sniper shooter will be released on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 14, 2019.

The digital edition will be discounted by 10% when pre-orders open. PC players who already own the original game on Steam can upgrade their copy for a reduced price. Retail editions will be available day and date on console platforms.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered features a host of graphical upgrades, including updated environments, characters, weapons, and vehicles, plus improved lighting, geometry and textures. The PC, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Xbox One X versions will also support 4K and HDR.

There’s also a new ‘frame-by-frame’ photo mode, and a batch of playable characters taken from Rebellion’s Zombie Army series. Multiplayer is also expanded to 16 players on all platforms except Switch.

Finally, every piece of DLC ever released for the game is included, making it a comprehensive package from top to bottom.

Here’s a comparison trailer detailing some of the improvements.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be priced at £29.99/$34.99/€34.99.
