The SNK 40th Anniversary Collection will bolster its lineup of 13 retro classics with ten free DLC games.

NIS America’s drip drip promotional push for The SNK 40th Anniversary Collection continues with news of some free, post-launch DLC.

The Nintendo Switch exclusive compilation features 13 classic SNK titles, all with updated controls, a rewind feature, and 1080p presentation. Many of the games will also be available in both arcade and console variants, plus an in-game museum will feature a selection of archival design documents and artwork.

The first five have been confirmed as Chopper IMunch MobileFantasy (pictured), Sasuke vs. Commander, and Time Soldiers. The remainder will be announced, well, when the NIS America team decide to put us out of our misery.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
