Team Sonic Racing tops the podium in this week’s UK video game chart from UKIE and GfK.
UK video game fans can’t get enough kart racing games. Sumo Digital’s new Sega mascot racer, Team Sonic Racing, has entered the latest UK entertainment software chart at No.1. It’s the first game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog to top the chart in 11 years.
The game’s impressive debut and the enduring success of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – this week’s No.8 – certainly bodes well for the release of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled in June.
Previous chart-topper, Bethesda’s open world shooter, Rage 2, falls three places to No.4.PlayStation 4 exclusive, Days Gone, also shows staying power, holding strong at No.2
Further down the chart, Everybody’s Golf VR for PlayStation VR enters at No.22, and the Nintendo Switch edition of Assassin’s Creed III Remastered sneaks in at No.15.
