A stack of Sonic the Hedgehog games are discounted on the Nintendo eShop.
Sega may want you to download the Sega Forever app to play their back catalog from now on, but if you prefer to play games with real controllers – and without watching ads – you might want to check out a big sale of Sonic the Hedgehog titles that has just begun on the Nintendo eShop.
A number of classic – and not so classic – titles are getting price cuts on both Wii U and 3DS. Of the more recent titles we can certainly recommend Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Wii U. It’s no Mario Kart 8, but it’s a sold and technically impressive game that’s a lot of fun in multiplayer.
Over on the 3DS there are a multitude of new and retro titles to choose from. If you don’t own them already, our suggestion is to head straight for the 3D remakes of the first two Genesis titles by M2. In our opinion – which is never wrong – they remain the definitive console versions of both games.
