Xseed Games has announced that of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town will be the hitting Nintendo Switch this summer.

The popular farming and life simulation was originally released as Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town on Game Boy Advance in 2003. It has been redesigned with improved visuals and expanded content and will be ripe for picking on July 14, 2020.

A complete remake of the original, the game is packed with characters reimagined for the modern-day, relaxing activities, and heartwarming stories designed to attract a new generation of farmers, as well as veterans who sowed their seeds first time around. Players can hone their farming skills by raising livestock and harvesting crops, whilst other activities include helping out neighbours, relaxing in hot springs, and falling in love.

In addition to updated gameplay and graphics, the Switch remake includes modernised controls to make managing tools and items easier.

The game offers a return to the classic simulation style with which the series made its name, but it also includes features from recent Story of Seasons games such as detailed farm management, multi-floor mining, and horse racing.

The physical edition of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is available to pre-order from the Xseed Games Store and participating retailers. The digital edition is also available to pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop.
