Sega confirms that Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is coming to Steam next week with a host of new features exclusive to PC.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD launches on Steam on December 19. Eager banana collectors can pick the game up with a 20% discount until December 17, 2019.

The Steam release follows the game’s arrival on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in October where it received broadly positive reviews. Most commenters were impressed by the quality of the port, but some – including us – also wish Sega had taken the trouble to port the best console game in the series, the 2001 GameCube original.

Nonetheless, it’s a fun game with 100 single-player stages, 10 multiplayer mini-games and some new additions, including unlockable guest character Sonic the Hedgehog. The Steam version also comes with some PC-specific enhancements including re-mappable keys, support for gamepad, keyboard and mouse controls, and Steam Cloud support.

Most importantly, the PC edition also features a banana mouse cursor. Here’s a new trailer.
