The new and classic soundtracks for Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania are now available to stream or buy.
It’s been an excellent year for new video games, hasn’t it? Deathloop. Metroid Dread, Resident Evil Village, Forza Horizon 5, the list goes on.
That said, it’s not been a great year for video game remakes. Nintendo’s N64 lineup has problems, and the least said about Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – Definitive Edition, the better.
However, there’s one game that manages to be both old and new in the best possible way: the terrific Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.
Sega’s game brings together 300 stages from Super Monkey Ball 1, 2, and Deluxe, plus a selection of the franchise’s best multiplayer excursions. It’s a value-packed collection that gives some of our favourite games of yesteryear a sparkling makeover.
Curiously, Banana Mania also includes a brand new soundtrack, with the original score available as DLC. It’s a curious – and somewhat annoying – choice.
Thankfully, both new and old soundtracks are now available to purchase or stream from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
