The game is a sequel to the well received 2009 side-scrolling strategy title that was released on WiiWare, Steam, PS3, Mac and 3DS.

Details on the game are light, but Ronimo promise that Redbeard and his gang of Vikings will be facing a range of new enemies. The game will be revealed in full at the Game Developers Conference in March and will be publicly playable at PAX East.

Ronimo have also opened an official forum to discuss the game, which you can find right here.

In the meantime it’s hard not to recommend checking out the original.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
