Terminal – the much-loved map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – is coming back, with a twist.

During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward announced that Terminal – the beloved multi-player map first seen in 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – is returning in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Terminal was previously reissued and remastered as free DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 but this time round is having an even bigger revamp. The airport location has been ‘reimagined’ as a shuttle port on the Moon, complete with space shuttles standing on the tarmac. Let’s hope that the flower-beds we admired in the original manage to survive the trip to the moon.

The Terminal map is now available as a pre-order bonus on all formats.

The Comic-Con panel also saw the debut of new gameplay footage from Infinite Warfare, showcasing the single-player campaign.

And can we all admit the game is looking pretty good now?

You can pre-order the game – and get access to Terminal – from Amazon.
