Publisher Netmarble has confirmed the release date for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds on PC and mobile.
As you might have guessed, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a new MMORPG based on the fan-favourite RPG franchise from Level-5 and Studio Ghibli. The game launches on May 25 on ioS, Android, and PC and with cross-play supported across all platforms.
Players can choose from one of five playable classes — Swordsman, Witch, Rogue, Engineer, Destroyer – each with unique abilities and customisation options.
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is built in Unreal Engine 4 and certainly looks the part. It retains the franchise’s signature anime visuals, albeit without the involvement of Studio Ghibli.
It will be interesting to see if the charming, whimsical nature of the series survives the journey into the often intricate world of online role-playing.
If it’s a journey you’d like to take, you can register your interest on the game’s official website. App Store pre-registrations will also receive the Explorer Outfit via the in-game mailbox. Players who pre-register on Discord can obtain the Catarumpus Hat and a Special Title via redeemable coupon codes.
