Grasshopper Manufacture’s remaster of The Silver Case comes to PC on the 17th anniversary of its original release.

SUDA51’s visual novel adventure was first released on the original PlayStation, way back on 7th October 1999. The new remaster is fully localised into English for the first time and is available to download now via Steam, GOG, Playism and the Humble Store. The game is priced at $19.99 (including tax) and is also receiving a 10% discount for the next week. A Mac version is due for release by the end of 2016.

In addition to the standard version of the game, a Deluxe Edition is also available featuring a range of extra content.

The Silver Case – Deluxe Edition

  • Art Book – a 40 page full color PDF featuring art by Takashi Miyamoto
  • Digital Comic – A 22 page digital manga by Syuji Takeya with concept by SUDA51
  • Original Soundtrack – Akira Yamaoka’s remixed soundtrack, comprised of 34 tracks in wav and mp3 format

A physical edition of The Silver Case is also getting a limited release and will contain a game disc, CD soundtrack, printed art book and manga, an individually numbered box and a two piece manual set. The physical edition will be priced at $49.99 and orders will open at midnight on 20 October on the Limited Run Games website.
