When Mafia II was first released in 2010, the game was well-liked but received criticism for its relatively sparse open world. Roll forward to 2020 and it’s an absolute joy to experience a map free of clutter and meaningless diversions. The Definitive Edition is a sumptuous remaster and a steal of a deal at 50% off in this week’s Xbox Deals with Gold. Its ambitious successor is also discounted for the next week.
