Three fabulous games are free on Xbox One this weekend

The latest Xbox One Free Play Days event includes three super cool games.

The latest Xbox One Free Play Days event includes three super cool games.

First on the list is the standard edition of eFootball PES 2020. Although Konami’s game continues to live in the shadow of FIFA – despite a slew of licence acquisitions – it still plays a great game of footy. A free play event gives players the perfect opportunity to see if they click with its more considered approach.

Next up is MotoGP 20. Milestone’s fully licensed motorcycle racing sim upped its game this year with improved graphics and controls, and a full-featured managerial career mode.

If this sporting activity is too much, why not take some time to contemplate life – and your growling stomach – in Don’t Starve Together. This standalone multiplayer expansion of Klei Entertainment’s Don’t Starve is a sublime experience with friends, and the perfect weekend trip for players still stuck at home.

All three Xbox One games are free to download and play for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate members from Thursday, June 18 at 12:01 am until Sunday, June 21 at 11:59 pm PT.

All earned achievements and save files carry over to purchased copies of each game. And if you want to continue playing, here are some timely discounts.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
