Dark Light

There are two big Xbox store sales on the go at the moment – the Ubisoft sale, and the Anime month sale.

We all love a good sale. Some sales, arguably, are better than others, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.

First up, is the Xbox Anime month which – in a departure from more traditional calendar months – is running from January 30th to February 26th, 2018. Discounts are up to to 75% and… well, we’re not saying that the selection is a little slim on the Xbox one, but here’s the current list:

  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse Season Pass
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Time Traveller Edition
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse Season Pass
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Ultimate Edition
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 and 2 Bundle
  • Oh, and Strider

Sorry, that’s being a little facetious. The splendid Okami HD remaster is also included, at a slimmer 30% discount, but that’s well worth everyone’s attention.

There’s also a bunch of titles available for Xbox 360, and they’re not all Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Other games may be swapped in or out as the weeks progress, and there are also free play days for One Piece Burning Blood, Attack on Titan, and – yes, you guessed it – Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Of wider interest perhaps is the current Xbox Ubisoft sale, which offers up to 70% off a variety of Ubisoft titles, including some very recent pickings like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Steep – Winter Olympics Edition, and that South Park game with the ‘butt’ pun in the title. Here’s the rundown of the listings for Xbox One:

  • Assassin’s Creed Origins (plus the Season Pass, Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition)
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole
  • Steep – Winter Olympics Edition
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Ghost Recon Wildlands
  • Watch Dogs 2

A bunch of older Ubisoft games – like Far Cry 3, the first Watch Dogs, and a huge swathe of previous-gen Assassin’s Creed games – are also available with big discounts for the Xbox 360. Were not sure when the Xbox Ubisoft sale expires, so make (carts of) hay while the sun shines.
