Nintendo is broadcasting a new Pokémon Direct today. You can watch it right here.
The prospect of a new Pokémon Direct so soon after the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield is certainly intriguing. It seems too early for Nintendo to announce the next set of mainline games, so what could it reveal?
Our guess is that we’ll hear more about the launch of Pokémon Home. The upcoming cloud-based hub will serve as a home and global trading platform for Pokemon obtained in Pokémon Go, and the franchise’s Nintendo Switch and 3DS games. The service is planned to launch early this year, so hopefully, we’ll get a release date and more information about its features and functions.
It’s also possible we’ll hear more about Pokémon Sleep and DLC for Sword and Shield. Or, it could be something completely new. Watch the live stream right here to find out.
