Sega has confirmed the full lineup of 42 games included in the Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Mini.
After many misfires, the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive looks to be getting the plug-and-play mini console they deserve. Shrunk down to 55% of its original size, the console comes bundled with 42 games, or 44 if you count the three titles collected within Mega Man: The Wily Wars separately.
In addition to first-party classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, ToeJam & Earl, and Columns, an impressive array of third-party games are also included. Highlights include Wonder Boy in Monster World, Probotector, Tetris, and Street Fighter II.
Thankfully, the porting process is being handed by emulation masters, M2, who have done sterling work on the Sega Ages and Sega 3D Classics series.
In addition to its stunning library of games, the console comes with two replica three-button controllers, an HDMI cable, and a Micro-B power cable. Power adapters are only included in the North American release.
All being well, we can look forward to the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive Mini erasing our memories of the disaster that was the Sega Genesis Flashback
