Here’s the date and time – plus everything else you need to know – for the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 games showcase.

E3 2021 is the most important event for Xbox in many years. Consumer reaction to the Xbox Series X and S consoles has been universally positive. However, with a few exceptions, PlayStation continues to steal the march when it comes to high-quality platform exclusives.

The Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 games showcase gives Microsoft the chance to redress the balance with more details on the delayed Halo: Infinite and greater clarity on what Bethesda’s roster of franchises will mean for Xbox players in the coming year.

What can we expect to see from Xbox at E3 2021?

Microsoft has assembled an enviable lineup of first-party studios in recent years. Hopefully, these partnerships will begin to pay off with reveals of some new Xbox-exclusive titles.

  • A closer look at the new Fable game from Playground Games is guaranteed.
  • Likewise, expect to see more of Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
  • Obsidian, Rare, Turn10, The Coalition, and Compulsion Games could also have titles to show.
  • Personally, I’d like to see The Initiative’s Perfect Dark reboot make an appearance.
  • And, finally, will Bethesda release more details on The Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield? Probably maybe not potentially perhaps…

The Xbox FanFest also returns in digital form with another programme of exclusive events, promotions, and giveaways.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
