WRC 6 launches on October 7, 2016, but can you play it, and will your favourite steering wheel peripheral work?
We’re used to system requirement posts coming out for games in the run-in to their release. It’s the one opportunity for console owners to feel a sense of smugness over their PC counterparts, safe in the knowledge they don’t have to trouble themselves with such trivial details.
The WRC 6 system requirements, however, include a PS4 and Xbox One component; we’ll get to that soon enough.
First things first, the WRC 6 system requirements for PC gamers:
WRC 6 system requirements – minimum specs
- Operating System: Windows® 7 64bits
- Processor: Intel® Core i3 / AMD Phenom™ II X2
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 650 / AMD Radeon™ HD 7750
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 20 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Soundcard
- The game also requires an Internet connection and a Free Steam account to activate.
Minimum system requirements allow the game to run at 720p resolution at 30 frames per second, with all visual effects on lowest settings.
WRC 6 system requirements – recommended specs
- Operating System: Windows® 10 64bits
- Processor: Intel® Core i5 / AMD FX 8150
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX780 / AMD Radeon™ R9 290 2 GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 20 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Soundcard
- The game also requires an Internet connection and a Free Steam account to activate.
Recommended system requirements allow the game to run at 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second, with all visual effects on default settings.
Including what the WRC 6 system requirements equate to in real terms, of screen resolutions and target frames per second figures, is a really lovely touch. Well done on that score, Bigben Interactive.

Wow, that was quite a list. The word ‘Thrustmaster’ starts to seem rather bizarre when you write it 31 times. It’s also worth pointing out that those are all the options that are listed as officially supported, but you may have success with other models. As ever, your mileage may vary.
Well in spite of your list my G27 does not work.
I can´t change key binding and even when choosing g27 in game……in goes on keyboard when i start a race.. tried everything :changing drivers etc no result.
So untill today ) 15 oktober…wrc 6 is a bad investment for me
DVK!
That’s not *our* list, that’s the list we were supplied by the developer.
Maybe you should try raising the issue with their support instead of complaining at us – they might actually be able to help you?
forgot to say: windows 10 64bit
logitech momo racing wheel does not work
Once again, we’re neither WRC 6 or Logitech’s technical support; perhaps it might be better if you raised it as an issue with someone who might actually be able to help you?
G29 don’t work…
g29 does not work with wrc6
My g29 does not work on my pc even with 6gb graphics card and 16g ram
