Microsoft has announced the four free games coming to Xbox Games with Gold in January 2019.
Pick of the bunch is Celeste, the acclaimed platformer from Matt Makes Games. Packed with secrets and devious obstacles to overcome, the game is rich, rewarding, and also has an emotionally affecting story to tell. It’s available via Games with Gold from January 1, 2019.
Also coming to Xbox One is Kylotonn’s well-received rally racing game WRC 6.
January’s Xbox 360 games – which are also playable on Xbox One via the magic of backwards compatibility – are Lara Croft: Guardian of Light, the enjoyable 2010 isometric adventure game from Crystal Dynamics, and Ubisoft’s classic open world FPS, Far Cry 2.

There’s still time to download three games from December’s Games with Gold lineup. Q.U.B.E. 2 and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction are available until the end of this month. Never Alone is available until January 15, 2019.
