Dark Light

Here’s the full rundown on the 11 new video games coming to the Xbox One between August 20-24, 2018.

One of this week’s highlights is Brawlout, a multiplayer fighter from Angry Mob Games that takes inspiration from the Super Smash Bros, franchise. The game has its own line-up of wild characters, plus guest fighters from games including Dead CellsGuacamelee!, and Yooka-Laylee.

It will also be fascinating to see the audience reaction to the Shenmue I & II, which are updated and bundled together in anticipation of next year’s sequel. There’s no denying the influence and impact of the these games, the first in particular, but we expect new players might be nonplussed about their merits.

Also released this week is motor sport racing sequel, F1 2018, and Distrust, a survival horror game inspired by The Thing.

All of this week’s games are available from the Xbox digital games store, or via the Microsoft web store. Here’s the full release lineup.
