Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Romancing SaGa 3 headline the list of new Xbox One digital game store releases.

Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is our pick of the week’s new Xbox One games. In many respects it looks fairly traditional, being a 00s-style third-person action-adventure. The Metroid-like structure and Dark Souls-inspired combat will hopefully elevate it into something special and cap an amazing year for Vince Zampella’s studio.

Romancing Saga 3 – which in true JRPG fashion is the sixth game in the Saga franchise – was first released for the SNES in 1995. The long-awaited remake comes to Xbox One, PS4 and Switch with an audio and visual upgrade, new dungeons and a new game plus mode.

Other new Xbox releases include Bee Simulator, Scarlett Mysteries: Cursed Child and Valfaris, the acclaimed heavy metal 2D action-platformer from Steel Mantis.

Each new release can be purchased from the Xbox digital games store and Microsoft online store. Here’s the full lineup.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
