A massive exclusive and some epic remasters are among the new video games coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this week.
It’s a big week for Xbox, with one of its genuinely exciting exclusives – the open world Forza Horizon series, not the regular, dull Forza racing one – coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC on Tuesday.
Forza Horizon 5 looks like more of the same, and if a little Horizon is good, more must be better. What’s really important is that Microsoft is keeping up its commitment to bring its exclusives to Xbox Game Pass on their release dates, one of the key differentiators that makes its service a unit shifter and not just a back catalogue dredge.
Speaking of things that are coming to Xbox Game Pass, there’s also the remastered GTA Trilogy (yes, please; cannot wait to go back to Grove Street after its effective redaction in GTA V) and Skyrim Anniversary Edition (we’d rather not, but who are we kidding; we’ll probably play it again), both dropping on Thursday. Meanwhile, the early access portion of Battlefield 2042 starts on Friday.
If you prefer your video games to feel more like spreadsheets, you’ll be pleased to know that Football Manager 2022 comes to Xbox on Tuesday. And also on Tuesday, Jurassic World Evolution 2, for better or worse.
