Take a look at the lineup of new games coming to the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One between January 11-15, 2021.

There’s a relatively quiet week ahead for new Xbox releases, but one game does stand out. It’s an oldie, but a goodie.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition is a reissue of the cult 2010 2D beat ’em that accompanied the film of the same name. The game is by no means groundbreaking, but it’s fast, furious, and oozes style. The chiptune soundtrack by Anamanaguchi is also considered a classic for good reason. The Complete Edition features a remaster of the original game plus its two DLC expansions.

Another new Xbox release of note is The Pillar: Puzzle Escape, a new environmental puzzle adventure from Paper Bunker. The game has echos of The Witness, and although it probably won’t top that particular work of art, it does look promising.

Other new Xbox games include the exploratory time bubble adventure Down in Bermuda and fast-paced action platformer, Glitch’s Trip. Here’s the full list of new releases confirmed so far. Check back for more updates throughout the week.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
