Level 5’s Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble gets a European release date for Android and iOS.
Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble will launch in Europe and Russia on March 30, 2017. The game blends puzzle, RPG and free-to-play gameplay mechanics and allows players to fight alongside Jibanyan, Komasan, and other fan favorites from the mainline 3DS franchise.
Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble has been a pretty big hit in other regions with over 10 million downloads achieved in Japan, North America, Canada, and Australia. Although the franchise doesn’t appear to have quite the same cachet here in Europe, it’s fair to say that interest in the series has risen steadily and this fully localised version of Wibble Wobble has a reasonable chance of finding an audience. The game is developed by Level 5 abby, a Santa Monica-based spin-off from Level 5 formed in conjunction with Japanese advertising giant, Dentsu.
Yukari Hayakawa, COO of Level 5 abby, said:
“We’re super excited to bring this fully localised version of Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble to Europe and Russia – and to be able to share the Yo-kai story with the world at large. The app has already been rated 4.5 out of 5 stars in Japan, and has amassed more than 10 million players worldwide to date. With such fun characters and entertaining gameplay, we’re confident that the localised European version will be a big hit as well.”
The second game for Nintendo’s handheld – released as Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls – will be released on April 7, 2017.
