This week’s new content update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons features a mix of new and returning events.

The Spring update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons adds a host of new events and items to the hit Nintendo Switch game.

The May Day event will include a trip to a unique island that will be different from last year’s enjoyable maze island. Returning events include another museum stamp rally, and Reese and Cyrus are back in town for more wedding-themed shenanigans.

Special items will also be released to mark various global events, including Children’s Day in Japan and the UK’s globally famous Cheese Rolling event.

The free content update will be released on April 28, 2021. Here’s the full list of additions, as per Nintendo’s press update:

Wedding Season (June 1st to June 30th)

To celebrate the month of their wedding anniversary, Reese and Cyrus are visiting to Harv’s Island throughout June and they want you to help take some special wedding photos. Use your keen eye for style to decorate the scene and capture a memorable moment for them.

You’ll also find wedding-themed furniture and fashion items in the Nook Shopping and Able Sisters stores. Take a look at what’s on offer and grab something that takes your fancy!

New seasonal items available

Be sure to keep an eye on Nook Shopping, as there are a whole host of special time-limited items on the way in the coming months.

Items that celebrate Japan’s Children’s Day (April 28th to May 5th), the UK’s annual Cheese Rolling event (May 22nd to May 31st), Mother’s Day (May 1st to May 31st), Father’s Day (June 1st to June 30th) and more will be available. Keep checking and pick up these special items before they’re gone!
