Rare’s upcoming piratical multiplayer game, Sea of Thieves, will have another beta over the course of this weekend.

For anyone who had access to the first closed beta, they will be able to jump back in from February 16th at 10:00 GMT / 02:00 PST, running until February 18th at 10:00 GMT / 02:00 PST.

Rare has said that the purpose of this second beta test is, “To test a lot of the work we’ve done since the closed beta, and to try and hit a higher concurrent players number than we’ve ever seen before.”

This will mean that play will most likely be dicey during peak times, with difficulty joining games and probable interruptions. Still, choppy waters here mean plain sailing when the game comes to launch on March 20th.

The actual content for this beta will be the same as players had access to for the previous one, with Rare saying it will “purposefully be a similar feature set … restricted to the Gold Hoarders trading company and accompanying Voyages.”

Players who have Xbox Games Pass will be able to play Sea of Thieves on launch as part of their subscription, granting access to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.
