Ashley Tisdale discusses The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

Dark Light

In a new interview, actor Ashley Tisdale speaks about the experience of making The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes.

In the first of a two-part interview series from developer Supermassive Games, actor and singer Ashley Tisdale (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) reveals more about her experience filming a role in a video game for the first time.

House of Ashes is the third title in Supermassive’s horror anthology series, following 2019’s Man of Madan and last year’s Little Hope.

The new release follows the exploits of a CIA unit searching for a chemical weapon in the Arabian desert. However, in the nearby ruins of a Sumerian temple, something ancient stirs. Cue a series of nasty discoveries and more of the studio’s trademark choice-based gameplay that can be enjoyed solo or with friends.

Speaking about the character of Rachel King, Tisdale says:

“I’m obsessed with the CIA, so I was very excited to play a character as I haven’t gotten to do that on TV or movies yet.

“I’m more known for obviously doing comedy, but I’ve always wanted to do an action film, and I am living out my action dreams doing this. Yes, it is scary, but there is so much action-adventure in it, and it’s pretty cool, it’s pretty wild.”

House of Ashes looks promising, and if it can build on the best elements of Man from Medan (which we liked) and Little Hope (which we also liked), players should be in for a spooky and memorable adventure.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 22, 2021.
