Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection Nintendo Switch release date confirmed

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection will be released on Nintendo Switch next month.

Following much speculation, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection will come to Nintendo Switch on February 17, 2022.

Previously released for PC, PS4 and Xbox in 2016, the collection includes three games – Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations – plus each title’s DLC.

Nintendo Switch-exclusive features include HD Rumble, touchscreen support, and a retooled HUD.

The bundle also packs in the Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Ember short films. However, the quietly influential multiplayer modes from Brotherhood and Revelations appear not to have made the cut.

The Ezio Collection will be released digitally via the Nintendo eShop and as a retail game card containing Assassin’s Creed II and access to digital downloads of all other content.

The Nintendo Switch is already home to decent versions of Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed Liberation, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. Hopefully, developer Virtuos – whose porting record includes Bioshock and The Outer Worlds – will give Ezio Auditore da Firenze the treatment he deserves.
