Beyond a Steel Sky, the upcoming sequel to cult-classic adventure game Beneath a Steel Sky, gets a new story trailer.
Revolution Software’s classic cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game Beneath a Steel Sky was a significant PC hit in the early 1990s. It received acclaim for its absorbing narrative and delicate balance of humour and hard-edged realism.
The game was a collaboration between Charles Cecil – also known for the Broken Sword series – and legendary comic book artist, Dave Gibbons. They have reunited for Beyond a Steel Sky, a direct sequel that promises a “fast-paced narrative set in a dynamic game world that responds to – and is subverted by – the player’s actions.”
Robert Foster returns, this time on a journey to find an abducted child in Union City, a strangely benign utopia in a world plagued by war and political meltdown.
Beyond a Steel Sky is due for release soon, initially on PC and Apple Arcade. Here’s the new story trailer to whet your appetite.
