PlayStation 4 exclusive, Blood & Truth, is the first ever VR game to take top spot in the UK video game chart.

London Studio’s PSVR crime thriller, Blood & Truth, has debuted at No.1 in the UKIE/GfK Entertainment Software Chart. It’s the first time that the chart – which tracks sales of physical software at retail – has been topped by a virtual reality game.

Last week’s No.1, Team Sonic Racing, slips two places to No.3. Second place is taken by a resurgent FIFA 19, which appears to have benefited from various price promotions, and interest in last weekend’s UEFA Champion’s League final.

The only other new entry in the Top Ten is a decent performance from Big Ant’s Cricket 19. The game enters the chart at No.6, its release timed to coincide with the start of the Cricket World Cup.

Elsewhere, open world shooter, Rage 2, falls from No.4 to No.13, and Imagineers’ Nintendo Switch pet simulation, Little Friends: Dogs and Cats, debuts at No.24.

Here’s this week’s Top Ten.
