Dark Light

Some new screenshots for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have popped up, showing off Bomberman in all his glory.

Now, Bomberman isn’t actually a playable character in the game; he’s an “Assist Trophy.” This means players can pick him up as an item and use him to their advantage in a match.

When activated, he dashes across the stage dropping bombs that explode in the classic cross shape, which will hit players above and below.

Look at the image at the top, and now look at the cheeky chap below:

He seems to be saying, “You think you know about bombs, Link? Have a bit of this!”

It is a bit of a shame that he isn’t available as a fully playable character, but he’s sure to cause equal measures of irritation and delight regardless.

The pictures surface on the Smash Bros. Ultimate blog, which is a handy resource for daily updates on the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch game.

You can also listen to some tracks from the game’s soundtrack on there as well.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due out on the Nintendo Switch on the 8th December.
