Borderlands 3 debuts at No.1 in the latest UK video games chart from Ukie and GFK.
Gearbox shooter, Borderlands 3, has topped the UK video games chart in its first week, and is the biggest boxed video game launch of 2019. In second spot is the acclaimed Xbox One exclusive, Gears 5. It worth noting that the chart only counts sales of physical games, and Gears 5 is also available as part of Microsoft’s subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.
Third in the table is the rebadged eFootball PES 2020 from Konami. Spiders’ action RPG, Greedfall also has a solid first week, entering the chart at No.5.
Elsewhere, there’s No.19 entry for Nintendo Switch mech battler, Daemon x Machina, and a No.36 debut for ice hockey sim, NHL 20. Other moves of note include Control falling from No.14 to No.27, and FIFA 19 tumbling from No.8 all the way down to No.30.
You can see the full top forty chart on the week ending September 14 on the Ukie website.
