Square Enix has confirmed that the well-liked RPG Bravely Default II will be released on PC via Steam next week.
Get this for a pitch.
Four unlikely heroes – Seth, Gloria, Elvis, and Adelle – set out across the land of Excillant in search of four elemental crystals.
The premise for Bravely Default II won’t win any awards, but don’t let that put you off. This charming role-playing game from Claytechworks is now getting a Steam release on September 2, 2021. It comes to PC following six months of Nintendo Switch exclusivity.
Bravely Default II is the third instalment in the franchise, following the classic Nintendo 3DS original from 2012, and the patchier 2015 follow-up, Bravely Second: End Layer.
Details on any PC enhancements are light, with Square Enix only promising controller support and various resolution options. Nonetheless, if you like questing for crystals, well-designed job and battle systems, and lots of grinding, Bravely Default II is well worth investigating.
Here’s a new trailer to mark the PC edition.
The game will be available with a 10% launch discount on Steam until September 13, 2021.
