Mario Kart 8: Deluxe races back to the top of the UK video games chart of boxed software sales.
Seven years after its release on Wii U, and four years after its deluxe reissue in Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8 has returned to the top of the UK video game chart. Last week’s chart-topper, the EA-published F1 2021, drops to sixth place.
The Nintendo Switch edition of Minecraft moves up three positions to No.3, knocking Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game down one place to No.4.
An influx of PlayStation 5 hardware in the UK also helps Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart return to the Top Ten. Insomniac’s game climbs a massive 30 places, from No.40 to No.10.
The only new entry in the Top Ten is Hades from Supergiant Games. The award-winning roguelike dungeon crawler was released on Xbox and PlayStation last week and is off to a good start.
