Dystopian landscape simulator Cloud Gardens is coming to Nintendo Switch next month.
Coatsink and Noio have confirmed that the beautiful lo-fi landscape game Cloud Gardens will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2022.
The game was released on PC last year and has quietly nurtured an audience of players that create plant-covered dioramas on scenes of urban decay.
Players can use the power of nature to create a balance of brutalism and beauty by planting seeds and repurposing various objects to create unique structures ready for nature to reclaim.
Like Townscaper from Oskar Stålberg, it’s as much a meditative pastime as it is a game.
Cloud Gardens features a sandbox mode with no explicit goals, plus a multi-chapter campaign in which players must find harmony between nature and man-made objects.
As you can see in the game’s trailer, the results are haunting and beautiful.
