CrossCode, the super cool 2D action RPG from Radical Fish Games, is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this summer.

Following seven years of development, CrossCode was an instant hit when it debuted on PC in 2018. Players connected with the game’s blend of 16-bit flair, Zelda-like puzzle dungeons, and traditional RPG mechanics. It’s no slouch in the narrative department either, telling an engaging and metafictional story fronted by a memorable cast of characters.

CrossCode‘s console release date is now confirmed. It will hit digital stores on July 9 with a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch physical release following on August 28. Limited edition SteelBook and Collector’s Editions are also on the way from the folks at Strictly Limited Games.

There’s new content, too. Each platform will feature an exclusive questline, dungeon, and boss fight. It’s a welcome addition to a game that is not exactly short in the first place. CrossCode already runs to 40-80 hours, depending on your desire to seek out every quest and secret.

If you decide to go for the CrossCode Collector’s Edition – which is also available on PC – you can look forward to receiving the following goodies. Preorders are open now at Strictly Limited Games.

CrossCode Collector’s Edition contents

  • Instruction Card
  • Manual
  • Variant reversible Cover
  • Original SteelBook
  • Hardcover CE Box with magnetic lock
  • Original 2-Disc Soundtrack
  • Hardcover Book – CrossCode Compendium
  • 18 Stickers
  • Large Poster
  • Lea ‘Hi’ Keychain
  • Individually numbered limited Edition
