Crytek has confirmed that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy will launch this fall on console and PC.

The Crysis Remastered Trilogy will include updated single-player campaigns of Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3, co-developed with Saber Interactive. The bundle is planned for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year.

As you may recall, a remaster of the original game was released by Crytek last year. It’s an accomplished and handsome port – even on Nintendo Switch – and the prospect of its sequels receiving the same treatment is mouthwatering.

In addition to the trilogy bundle, the second and third games will also be made available to purchase separately.

In a press statement released alongside today’s announcement, project lead Steffen Halbig says:

“We’re excited to announce that these iconic Crysis games are returning in one bundle, remastered for a new generation of hardware. Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today’s platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure.”

At the time of writing, the precise enhancements for the new remasters are not confirmed. The first game supported 8K resolution output, HDR, improved art assets, and temporary anti-aliasing, so it’s reasonable to expect similar improvements. The Switch version wasn’t quite as spectacular, but playing such an iconic game on a handheld device was magical in its own way.
