Hideo Kojima confirms that Death Stranding will be released on PC.

Death Stranding, the highly-anticipated first game from Kojima Productions will also be released on PC in early summer of 2020.

The announcement comes via a tweet from studio head Hideo Kojima ahead of the game’s PlayStation 4 release  next month.

The news shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. The game was initially announced for PlayStation 4 but a PC version of the game was mooted way back in 2015 when development began. In August this year, references to the game being a PS4 exclusive were also removed from various official PlayStation websites.

The PC version will be published by 505 Games. Speaking about the release, co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante says:

“We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world. Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”

At the time of writing there is no confirmation of which stores the PC version will be released on.

Death Stranding will be released as PlayStation 4 console exclusive on November 8, 2019. Reviews for the game will drop at the end of this week.
