NIS America confirms that Disgaea 1 Complete will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in October.
To mark the 15th anniversary of the first release of tactical JRPG, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, NIS America is bringing an HD remake to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
The epic role-playing game – which features over 100 hours of gameplay – is getting a full visual makeover. As you can see from the graphics comparison below, the original’s artwork has been sympathetically reworked for modern consoles.
Set in the Netherworld, the game sees Prince Laharld – helped by castle vassal, Etna, and angel trainee Flonne – attempt to retake console of the realm and become its overlord. Cue lots of grinding, and RPG ‘badassery’. Here’s the game’s E3 2018 trailer.
Disgaea 1 Complete will be released in North America on October 9, and in Europe on October 12, 2018.
