Nintendo kicks off Gamescom 2019 with an update on the new indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo began its week at Gamescom with an indie-focused livestream hosted by Kirk Scott and Katie Caspar. The 25 minute-long broadcast featured news of 29 new games coming to Nintendo Switch, including a couple of surprise releases arriving on the eShop today.

Today’s new games are the marvellous Superhot, and the Hotline Miami Collection, a double-pack of Denneton’s two influential top-down shooters.

New games on the horizon include Eastward, a visually lovely post-apocalyptic town simulation from Chucklefish, and Freedom Finger, a quirky shooter featuring the voice talents of Nolan North and John DiMaggio. There was also confirmation that the long-rumoured Switch port of Ori and the Blind Forest will arrive next month.

Other highlights were Torchlight II, gravity-bending puzzle plaformer, Youropa, and The Touryst, which looks like an intriguing mix of The Witness and The Legend of Zelda from the folks at Shin’en. Watch the Indie World broadcast in full, and take a look at the complete list of announced games below.
