The Square Enix E3 2018 video presentation reveals Babylon’s Fall and The Quiet Man.

After a gap of two years, Square Enix streamed a ‘special video presentation’ to detail this year’s slate of E3 games.

New titles include Babylon’s Fall and The Quiet Man, plus there was also closer look at Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and another chance to see the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer.

Here’s the full lineup of games shown during the Square Enix E3 2018 showcase.

List of Square Enix E3 2018 announcements

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

  • Footage from the opening of Eidos Montreal’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
  • Lara Croft will have to ‘become one with the jungle,’ says the studio’s Daniel Chayer-Bisson
  • Gameplay shows Lara using the environment to stealthily dispatch – rather gruesomely, we have to say – various ne’er-do-wells. Won’t she just think of their poor mothers?
  • New traversal techniques include grappling, wall-running, and 360 degree swimming.

Final Fantasy XIV Online

  • A trailer for the Under the Moonlight update for Final Fantasy XIV Online.
  • Monster Hunter World x Final Fantasy XIV Online is announced for 2018 release.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit

  • A new narrative adventure from Dontnod Entertainment set in Life is Strange videogamatic universe
  • The game will be completely free, and available to download on console and PC from June 26, 2018.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

  • “Fate hangs by a thread” in the latest Dragon Quest JRPG.
  • Released on Steam and PlayStation 4 on September 4, 2018.
  • A Final Fantasy Brave ExviusDragon Quest collaboration coming in September.

Babylon’s Fall

  • A debut trailer for a new IP from PlatinumGames.
  • Coming to PlayStation 4 and Steam in 2019.

Nier: Automata

  • A reminder that the Nier: Automata – Become as Gods edition is coming to Xbox One.
  • Released on June 26, 2018.

Octopath Traveller

  • A new trailer for the exclusive Nintendo Switch RPG.
  • Released on July 13, 2018

Just Cause 4

  • A closer look at Just Cause 4 shows the game’s new weather system. Sandstorms, tornadoes, and lightning storms can interact and change the environment.
  • The game uses the new Apex engine, which provides an ‘unparalleled draw distance’ for an open world.
  • Released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on December 4, 2018

The Quiet Man

  • A mysterious new game in which some dude beats up some other dudes.
  • Coming to Steam and PlayStation 4.
  • More details will be released in August.

Kingdom Hearts III

  • Sora, Donald, Goofy, and friends meet the cast of Frozen, Toy Story, Wreck-It Ralph, and Monsters Inc. in a another outing for the Kingdom Hearts III E3 trailer.
  • Coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 29, 2019.
