Ubisoft is making Far Cry 6 free to play for four days on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
Far Cry 6 isn’t the most successful game in Ubisoft’s open-world shooter series. It’s remarkably unambitious from a gameplay perspective, and it’s yet another game in the franchise that has nothing to say when there’s plenty to say.
That being said, it’s sumptuously made, and if you can park your brain for a few hours, there’s plenty of fun to be had with the game’s familiar mix of exploration and combat.
Also, Far Cry 6 is another Ubisoft release to benefit from continuous content support. Since its launch, the game has received new Special Operations, Danny Trejo and Rambo crossover missions, and three downloadable content episodes as part of its season pass.
Ubisoft is now making the game free to play between March 24-27 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. Pre-load is available now and includes access to the full game, plus all DLC released to date.
