The Football Manager 2021 Beta is live on the Epic Game Store and Steam

Dark Light

Fed up waiting for pre-season? Budding football managers can now join the Football Manager 2021 Beta on PC.

Anyone who has purchased Football Manager 2021 – from Sega’s lengthy list of approved retailers – can now launch the game’s PC and Mac beta from within Steam or the Epic Game Store.

Developer Sports Interactive says the beta is a near-complete build of the game, but it may include occasional bugs. If you discover a problem, a handy ‘Report Bug’ button is found on the in-game sidebar. (The fact I can not get West Ham Utd. to win the Premier League is a long-standing bug that I dearly hope is fixed this year…)

Online play is also enabled, but access to the Steam Workshop and in-game editor is restricted until the game’s official launch on November 24, 2020. All progress will transfer over to the final game.

This year’s iteration of Football Manager features a slew of new gameplay systems and analytics designed to create a more realistic experience. Visual enhancements also promise to improve match-day feel and there more pre and post-match events to tinker with.

If you want to join in the fun, you can pre-purchase the game on Mac or PC before its full release to get Beta access, and a 10% discount to boot.
