Drive around in circles, experience the first world war, and team up with friends for some futuristic battles in the latest Xbox Free Play Days event.

Three Xbox One games are free to play this weekend for all Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

First on the list is Nascar Heat 4 from Monster Games. It’s as faithful a simulation of the sport as you’re ever likely to need or want. The franchise’s latest entry features improved AI controls and bump drafting, plus enhanced graphics and audio.

Next up is first world war shooter Verdun from M2H and Blackmill Games. Again, authenticity is the keyword, with historically accurate weaponry and environments helping to give this FPS an appropriately sober tone.

More colourful exploits are offered in Overwatch. Blizzard’s team-based shooter needs little introduction, but a free play event is always useful for newcomers.

All three games are free to download on Xbox One until 11:59 pm on March 15. All achievements and progress from the free trials is carried over to the full game when purchased.

Speaking of which, Nascar Heat 4 and Verdun are also discounted for the weekend, receiving 30% and 50% discounts respectively. Head over to the Xbox One digital games store or Microsoft online store.
